The last time we published the new Audi A3 the testdrivers were far away from home. Audi was testing the car in the American Death Valley this summer. But this time we caught the A3 very close to home: in Ingolstadt.

Volvo is spied in Holland again! This time Hans Bauman was able to get a picture of a camouflaged Volvo prototype on the highway near Amsterdam. We guess it´s the V30, but there are still a lot of rumours about a successor for the V50.

Mercedes SL spied in Oberhausen

Limited farewell edition of Ferrari 599

We were afraid that the Ferrari 599 will go to retire quietly at the end of 2012, but these spyshots from loyal visitor of SecretNewCars.com Michael Tange prove otherwise. Rumors persist that Ferrari is working on a limited edition of the 599 with costarring Ferrari’s F1-driver Fernando Alonso.

The 599 GTB is known as a great sports car, but since the launch of the Aventador people look more towards Lamborghini. A thorn in the eye of Ferrari of course, and so the brand with the prancing horse work hard on a successor to the 599.

BMW 3-Series GT emerges from the fog

With the new 3-Series Sedan introduced now BMW can focus on the other variants in the future lineup. There will be a station (Touring), a coupe and convertible (later called 4-series) and a sort of crossover hatchback called 3-Series GT. This model we see here.

New Mercedes-Benz GL also as AMG

Soon the new GL-Class will be introduced which comes also time as AMG for the first time. Probably Mercedes-AMG will install the powerful 5.5 liter V8 BiTurbo engine in the colossus with around 550 hp.

Update for Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class undergoes an update soon. Because the model is barely two years old the changes are minimal. The LED daytime running lights will be adjusted again but get this time also a different place. The technology of the inner lamps will be modified as well and there will be new fog lights. Actually you can hardly speak of a facelift.

Our spy photographers have managed to capture the future Alfa Romeo SUV, likely to be called the CXover. It was undergoing tests under the body of a Giulietta and was spotted in Detroit in the U.S.

Fiat 500 EV for $30.000

Chrysler has confirmed that it will launch the 2013 Fiat 500 electric vehicle in the U.S. sometime in 2012. The announcement is somewhat surprising, given that Chrysler has not completely spelled out what it has in mind for the North American version of the Fiat 500 with a gasoline engine.

Opel Astra OPC becomes a Ring specialist

Opel continuously testing the Astra GTC OPC at the Nürburgring, and that can only turn out better for the end result. Therefore, with 300 hp from a 2.0 liter turbo engine we see the GTC OPC rather be launched sooner than later. Yet we have to wait, until the second half of 2012 probably.
