first glance at supersonic Murcielago

Thursday January 8 2009 - Kim

These are first signs of life of the extremely fast Lamborghini Murcielago. The sports car bears the name LP670-4 SV, that implies that the Italian car will be issued with a 670 bhp powerful engine, and against tradition, will have four wheel drive technique.

The 'SV' versions are traditionally the most bald versions of Lamborghini. The Murcielago isn't any different. The Italian car make sent the car on a diet and had it slimmed by 100 kg. Unfortunately the S isn't a rear wheel driven car, but yet is a pure four wheel drive. Probably it is too hard for Lamborghini to transfer the 670 bhp onto two wheels.

6.7 liter V12
Less weight, but more power. The 6.7 liter V12 squeezes out 30 bhp more than a regular Murcielago. It makes it possible for the car to rocket it in 3.2 seconds to a 100 kmph. Top speed is probably set at 340 kmph. The LP670-4 SV will be manufactured in a editon of 350 copies and will be available as off june this year. Its successor is to be expected one year later.
