When Volvo´s sleek S60 reaches the dealerships, it will – except for the so-called suicide doors – very closely resemble the stunning concept shown at the 2009 North America International Auto Show.
With a “coupe-like” roofline, the all new S60 will add sex appeal to the once boxy and somewhat boring Volvo lineup. The S60 will eventually be offered with a high-efficiency gasoline turbocharged direct injection 1.6-liter engine mated to a twin-clutch transmission – with an consumption of 5 litres per 100 kilometres.
Safety first
In addition, Volvo has said to expect new technology – including a collision warning system with full auto braking and pedestrian detection. We're guessing an official debut will take place sometime during the first quarter of 2010.
