Chrysler faces rough times, but that doesn´t mean they stop developing new models. This whole new Jeep Grand Cherokee had been digitally captured in the United States. Unfortunately camouflage covers almost every detail.
We can't say much about its design. The uncovered parts let us see strong similarities to that of the current Grand Cherokee. Concerning the rest of the car, we still have to guess. Fortunately a Leftlanenews inside source let us know that the car will have be very similar to the Jeep Trailhawk Concept. Only the Cherokee should have much more aerodynamic features.
What about under the bonnet? Nowadays it is known that Jeep co-builds this car together with Mercedes. The same platform will also be used for the new ML class of Mercedes. Enginewise we can expect the famous 3.3, 3.6, 4.7 V8 and the 5.7 HEMI V8. They also planned to manufacture a hybrid model. This one will make use of the same power train as the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid and the Dodge Durango Hybrid. Production of the new Grand Cherokee will start as off 2010.
