Hyundai is positioning the new Grandeur between the i40 (Sonata and Azera for some other countries) and the Genesis sports coupe. Despite the recent trend of downsizing to smaller models especially in the luxury car segment, Hyundai is to grow their Grandeur substantially. Much is unknown about the Korean sedan. This is because it still takes a while before the car is launched. We expect him late 2011 or early 2012.
V6
The new Hyundai Grandeur is expected to be launched with two different V-6 engines: a 3.8-litre Lambda unit with 305 hp on tap or a smaller 3.3-litre engine already sold in several markets. Hyundai’s new six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode will likely be standard across the range.
