Opel Astra GSi shows off its identity

Opel Astra GSi shows off its identity

Monday April 26 2010 - Gerben

These are the last shots of the Opel Astra GSi. A minimum of camouflage and - for the first time - the use of the GSI badge proofs the launch will be soon.

Clearly visible is the re-designed front bumper and skirt with bigger air-intakes and daylight driving light units. At the rear you can spot the additional exhaust pipe. Also clear visible is that the car rides a few centimeters lower compared to less potent models. The new GSI will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder bi-turbo motor delivering 190 hp. That will be good enough to top the current model’s speed of 230 km/h and its sprint of 8.2 seconds from standstill to 100 km/h.
