Volkswagen has arrived in the Death Valley. Earlier this week we saw the all-new Sharan and now we have some new material of the brand-new Volkswagen Touareg II. The camouflage is still heavy.
Volkswagen will introduce the new Touareg in 2011. The new model will weight around 300 kg less than it's predecessor. Volkswagen will reduce weight not only for the environment, but also to realise better driving performance. Despite the lower weight the new Touareg will grow a little bit. The rear-passengers will benefit from this extra space.

For more driving pleasure, Volkswagen asked Porsche to help. The Touareg will share it's base with the new Cayenne and we like that idea. Under the hood we will find V6 and V8 petrol and dieselengines. After the summer of 2010 Volkswagen will start the production of the new Touareg.
