Gotcha! This is the first sight of what’s to become the next generation Subaru Imprezza, snapped undergoing a test-drive in the Swiss Alps. Like today’s model, the new Imprezza will be a compact hatch, powered by four-cylinder boxer engines.
We reckon the car will be due for official presentation at the 2012 Frankfurt or Tokyo Motor Show. Less potent versions will be available with petrol engines delivering 110 and 150 hp and a 150-hp turbodiesel. The sportier models will come with turbocharged 2.5-litre units returning either 230 or 300 hp.
