We were expecting the new Elantra to debut – strictly outside Europe – for the 2013 model year, so we were very surprised to see this prototype and hear rumours for a 2011 model year introduction – but now we have the pictures to prove it!
It looks like the new Elantra will have a slightly longer wheelbase – measuring in by our estimate at 2700 millimetres. And, as seen in these photos, the Elantra will have its own interpretation of a coupe-like roofline.
