BMW is busy to get the new 6 Series ready on time before it’s introduction this autumn. The third generation will be more sleeker and smoother than the current model of Chris Bangle but will have the same character: a true Gran Turismo with sportscar ambition.
Unfortunately, the automaker still used a sizable amount of camouflage around the lighting elements at both the front and back, as well as several body parts. Still, we are able to see a few aspects of the car quite clearly, including a flatter back end compared to the current generation model. Side skills and side panels also receive different styling. Side windows look similar to those on the spied Cabrio, though the rear section of glass will be different because of the hard top.

When the 2012 BMW 6-series is revealed later this year, it will feature the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8-engine from the 7-series. That engine produces 408 hp, much less than the 555 hp-engine seen on the X5 and X6 M-models. The more powerful engine is likely to appear on the next BMW M6 which is rumoured to be a true Audi A8-fighter. But as said we have some doubt about this because the conservation in content.
