BMW will use the Auto Mobil International motor show in Leipzig, Germany, as the launching ground for the new BMW 5-Series Touring (F10). The fourth-generation wagon will be introduced to the media on April 9 before being shown off to the public.
The company explained their decision by saying the German market is their biggest for the 5er Touring. Leipzig will likely be Germany's largest automotive show this year, as the biennial Frankfurt show is in a hiatus.
Sedan
On these latest spyshots we can not only see an almost uncamouflaged 5-series Touring, but also a picture of the 5-series Sedan and the Touring together. Look for the Touring edition to get the same seven engine choices as the sedan. This could include the top-shelf 4.4-litre twin-turbo direct injection V8 petrol engine producing 408 hp and up to 600 Nm of torque. Also available are three straight-six petrol engines, and three four-cylinder diesels.
