For the first time the all-new BMW 1-series arrived in Scandinavia to be part of the wintertesting program. Unfortunately the car is still heavily camouflaged. But we have lot´s of details.
It's almost a year ago since we saw the very first life stabbing of the all-new 1-series. A mule which was based on the current generation of the 1-series drove through the streets of Munich. Almost half a year later we saw the real new 1-series for the very first time. But suddenly things went fast. After the Nürburgring, Großglockner and the surrounding of München we now caught the new BMW 1-series in the northern part of Scandinavia.
Engines
Although we can't see any new details on this prototype we can tell you much information about the technical part of the car. Did you know that BMW is working on a 3-cilinder petrol engine for the 1-series? This new engine has to replace the current 1.6 petrol engines. The 2.0 liter petrol will be replaced by a 1.6 with turbo. About the diesels we only know that there are rumours about a new 1.6 dieselengine.
