Almost one year before it is due for release our spyphotographer has taken photos of a barely disguised Volkswagen Amarok Single Cab pickup testing in Germany.
This prototype also reveals that the Single Cab version will be quite large for its class in cabin space as the B-Pillar is lengthened for extra room behind the seats for toolboxes and similar things. Also expect the largest tray for a Single cab in this class.

Among the rumours circulating the Amarok Single Cab is that it may debut an automatic transmission and a new petrol drivetrain which will be 2.0 litres in capacity, possibly turbocharged and be able to run on Ethanol for the Brazilian Market. The Amarok Single Cab will be released in the first quarter of 2011.
