This morning we had a very brief sightning of another of Chrysler´s forthcoming new products: the Jeep Compass Facelift! While many industry insiders thought the Compass would be dropped from the lineup, these photos prove it´s still alive and kicking!
The Compass has been plagued with a somewhat bizarre looking front end since day one, and that's just the part of this mini-Jeep that appears to have undergone a heavy redesign. Thorugh tje camouflage, we can see the slats on the traditional Jeep grille are wider and chrome-ringed. The entire grille opening itself also appears to be a bit wider, but shorter in height.
The changes: Front
The single lens, circular headlights are also gone, swapped in favour for what looks to be a more aggressive-looking, dual lens headlight cluster. There also looks to be chrome accents running across the top of the headlights. A pair of projector-like fog lights are also peeking through the camouflage.
We can't say for sure if the odd looking ''humps'' on either end of the front bumper of the current Compass have been nixed, but judging from the lines we can see against the tightly fitting camouflage, it looks like they're history!
The changes: Back
Other changes should include a totally new lower fascia and a new hood. We think those double-spoke wheels are new to the Compass as well. At the rear, you can expect new, LED taillights, a new bumper and a moderately re-designed tailgate. Our shooter got the briefest of looks at the interior and reported that it looked largely unchanged. A new steering wheel may have been in place. Watch for the official debut towards the end of year.
