Hyundai has big plans. Within two years a series of new models will be ready to rumble in different car segments. The South Koreans are coming! Among those will be this new MPV for example, a rival of the Ford C-Max and the Opel Zafira.
In the spring of 2008 Hyundai revealed the HED-5, a attractive futuristic MPV with some Scandinavian design elements (Volvo). Certainly not bad for a Korean, though we actually can’t say this anymore with models like the current i-line of Hyundai. The Hyundai posing here will again show how much fun the Asian car industry is. The silhouette of the prototype is suspiciously similar to the study of two years ago. The shape of the mirrors and headlights filling confirm our suspicions.
Heavy competition
Hyundai's new MPV - probably later iM30 called - is a 6-seater family MPV with a size similar to that of the Ford C-MAX and the Opel Zafira. These, together with the Mazda 5 and Peugeot 5008, are the main competition. Ofcourse, the Volkswagen Touran and Citroen Grand Picasso also be considered so. Serious competition in a hard-fought segment. One of the positive arguments of the new Hyundai MPV is his competitive pricing. In short, the iM30 could be an attractive package.
