Seen here for the very first time and undergoing handling tests in southern Italy is the hatchback variant of the Toyota Corolla, currently sold as a four-door sedan in North and South America and basically all Asian countries except Japan.
Even more important: the prototype snapped here was powered by a hybrid engine, and we reckon it’s the same motor used in the Prius and Auris. Launch date remains speculation so far, and we also have no clue whether or when the Corolla hatchback will make it to European shores
