Caught undergoing testing near the Nürburgring, the heavily camouflaged prototype of the future S63 AMG is featuring a larger air intake, a high performance braking system and AMG wheels.
It remains unknown yet what engine will be used, but the most likely option is a 5.5 litre V8 turbo for the S63 and a bi-turbo variant of that very engine for the S65 – then delivering around 630 hp. The current 6.2-litre engine used for the 63 AMG models of the past will slowly die. Both variants should be connected to seven-speed Speedshift MCT transmissions, which will ensure this is really a fast flagship.
