SecretNewCars.com-visitor Sjoerd Koster from Holland surprised us with these spyshots. He spotted this XJ prototype in France at a gasstation and was surprised that he didn´t hear the engine when the car drove to the highway. He´s not completely sure about it, but he thinks that this is the XJ Hybrid.
Sjoerd told us that he didn't hear a V6 or V8 engine when the car drove towards the highway. That's reason enough for us to conclude that this is the XJ Hybrid. The car is announced a couple of weeks ago when Lotus revealed their Range Extender. Jaguar is going to use the technic of the Range Extender for the XJ Hybrid which will go into production in 2011.
