This is the first footage of the brand new BMW 5 series Touring. The car is subject to its first test kilometers in Germany. The 5 series will be available this year, but we will have to wait another year for the Touring model.
It is not the first time we photographed the 5 series of the German car manufacturer. But those images show the sedan variant, and this footage the station variant, the Touring. The all new Touring will compete against the new Mercedes E-Class Estate, that also is being tested right now.
More powerful engines
As we mentioned before, the all new 5 series will be available with a wide range of engines. Its preliminary top model will be the 4.4 liter V8, double turbo, that produces 406 bhp. The car will also be available with a choice in six in line diesel engines. Later on a M-version will be added to the programm. But that will be in 2010 at the earliest moment.
