The last time we saw the 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton, it was sweating through summer testing in the desert with its front and rear ends camouflaged. Now we´ve just spied the facelifted Phaeton during a late night photo shoot with all the camouflage removed!
We can now see that VW's biggest, most luxurious sedan will be getting a completely new front end. The grille, headlights, bumper and lower fascia are all new on the 2011 model. Out back we can see updated LED tailights that seem to have a similar design to the recently debuted 2011 Touareg.
Rumour has it that VW will reintroduce the Phaeton to the U.S. market towards the end of 2010 or the start of 2011 and give the big sedan one more try after falling well short of sales goals in years past.
