The first pictures of the 2011 Land Rover Freelander. Sold as the LR2 in North America, the facelifted vehicle could be getting a new front fascia. The prototype looks to have a new grille hidden under the camouflage, along with a new shape to the lower section of the front bumper.
With all the padding around the integrated fog lights, it makes us wonder if designers will be making a change at this point in the bumper, possibly with the inclusion of LED daytime lights.
Paris Motor Show
Built on Ford's EUCD platform, the model currently uses a 230 hp (170 kW) 3.2-liter inline-six from the American automaker, as well as a 2.2-liter four-cylinder 162-hp (121-kW) turbodiesel from Peugeot. Though underpowered, the turbodiesel produces up to 400 Nm of torque, with 200 Nm available at just 1,000 RPM. We may have to wait until the Paris Motor Show to see what the SUV looks like in person.
