BMW´s M-division is working overtime! Called the M3 GTS Sedan Concept, the recently presented show-car previewed a lighter, faster and sharper version of the M3 saloon - likely to be positioned between the standard M3 and the GTS Coupe, traditionally ground occupied by the M3 CSL.
At the Shanghai Show, a spokesman for the brand has revealed that this car will definitely make production, although it won't wear the CSL moniker, as that's reserved exclusively for coupes. We have the pictures that prove: the spokesman was right!
M Power
Power output is yet to be confirmed, but its engine is rumoured to be tuned somewhere between the 444-hp GTS and the 414-hp standard car. Whether it will use the 4.0-litre V8 or the bored-out 4.4-litre version from the GTS is unclear.
Sportier
Bigger brakes, firmer suspension, a lighter exhaust and modified bodywork is all borrowed from the GTS, but the wild rear wing has been swapped for a more subtle boot lip spoiler.
