Up until now, we´ve only seen Audi A7 prototypes roaming the streets and race tracks of Europe. Today, the A7 has hit the tarmac in the United States! This is also the first time we´ve spied the A7 with the rear hatch open.
We can see what looks to be a very unique strut system in the rear. We also have a nice peek at the interior which shows a pop-up navigation system that will be new to Audi.
Late 2010
Riding on a version of the next-generation A6 platform, the A7 will go into production in the second half of 2010. Engines we can expect up to Audi's 300-hp supercharged V6, along with a 4.2-litre V8. While the Mercedes CLS will be the A7's main target, BMW's 5-series GT may also be on Audi's hit list. Watch for the A7's official debut in the next few months.
